The most important part of a grandiose gala celebrated by the whole country must be its ending. For a great civilization, both its view of cosmos and understanding of history would be crystalized and manifested in such a well-designed ending. This spinning girl in front us is now pushing this gala to its final climax. What this girl is showing to the people is the most mysterious and excellent art of all – the art of turning around (periagoge). In order to make this performance more perceptible to everybody, the costume designer has tailored a delicate white dancing skirt (which looks like a wedding dress) for her whom is so tiny that would be often ignored in daily life. The layered hemline of the skirt is blooming accompanying her spin (but this also makes her resemble an inverted top), which is echoed with these colorful buds projected onto the skirt by the lighting engineer and those recurrent fireworks outside the auditorium. The girl’s face is gradually being blurred due to the spin, while her grin still deeply penetrated into our hearts. As the host of the gala finishes the last line, the whole country falls into silence. At this moment, the flowers of time are blossoming on her dress, the spirits of our ancestors are jumping in and out of her body, and everyone’s attention is converging on the little, flushed head of this spinning girl, together waiting for the last lash of the hanging whip.
